Nigerian Police resume issuing Tinted Glass Permits (TGP) across the country.

Through a “secure and user-friendly” portal, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has resumed issuing Tinted Glass Permits (TGP) across the country.

According to a statement released by Forces spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi on Wednesday, permission may be obtained via possap.gov.ng.
Widespread public complaints over drivers being harassed for using tinted windows prompted the action, he claimed.

“The initiative reflects the need for a clear, transparent, and accountable process for regularizing factory-fitted tinted glass on vehicles,” the spokesperson said.

“A standardized system that permits lawful use while guaranteeing public safety has become essential as modern cars are increasingly built with tinted windows,” the statement says.
