Bird flu reported in Lagos & Kaduna – Ministry of Agric.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has announced new instances of Avian Influenza overall known as Bird influenza in Nigeria. Avian flu is a kind of viral malady subsidiary to winged creatures only and is an irresistible sickness.

In an announcement released yesterday January fifteenth, the service said that there has been an expanding number of passings of poultry creatures in two poultry homesteads and live fowl showcases in Lagos and Kano.

Test led on the dead winged animals at the National Veterinary Research Institute demonstrated the fledglings were contaminated with H5 Strain of Avian Influenza infection, generally known as feathered creature influenza.

The ministry says measures have been set up to contain the spread of the fatal infection as the poultries and business sector where the illness was initially spotted has been isolated.

The Ministry ordered all state Ministry of Agriculture and its organizations to be on the alarm for any new instance of the sickness.
