Bishop Denounces Lavish Spending On Burrial Ceremonies In South East

The Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, His Grace, Most Rev. Paulinus C. Ezeokafor has denounced the high cost of covering the dead in Igbo land  Cleric Ezeokafor who conveyed a sermon amid the internment of the prime priest of Umuchukwu group in Orumba south local government  area,late Sylvanus Obioma Maduka depicted as a financial waste the tremendous measure of cash the Igbo individuals spend amid the burial function of their dead ones.

He approached Ndigbo to backtrack from such unrestrained consumption on entombment services as that would not make the dead go to paradise, saying that what was imperative was for one to be attracted to Eledumare.
