Explosion hits police station in Adamawa

A powerful blast suspected to be from a bomb has happened at the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters, in Yola, Adamawa State.

A witness, Mohammed DanAsabe, told revealed to ooduarere that the impact happened at around 11:44 am Thursday.

Another witness, Ibrahim Bello, an inhabitant of the zone, said the “blast is powerful to the point that all the glass windows and entryways in our whole neighborhood have been destroyed”.

Mr. Bello additionally said there was no serious panic around the zone particularly at the Central Primary School, directly opposite the police headquarters, where pupils were going to classes at the time of the blast

It was not promptly clear whether there were casualties.
