An unidentified woman on Sunday, plunged in to the lagoon on 3rd Mainland, in Lagos. As at 8.45pm, efforts were still on to recuperate her body, without luck. There have been however, conflicting accounts regarding the way the incident happened.
It was reported that the deceased was a lady, who parked her Ford Explorer SUV on the top of 3rd Mainland bridge and plunged into the lagoon. Although some others said she isn’t the owner of the SUV and the owner witnessed the jump while trying to disuade her from jumping.

Based on reports, the Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal, directed rescue team comprising policemen from the Marine Police, the Rapid Response Squad, RRS and those from the three divisions around the region: Adeniji Adele, Oworoshoki and Adekunle divisions.
