Woman Slashes The Hand Of 13-year-old Orphaned Housemaid With A Saw Blade, Over Burnt Beans

Mfoniso Udodoikpom, an indigene of Akwa Ibom State, has been arrested by the policemen attached to Meiran Division, Lagos, for allegedly assaulting her 13-year-old maid, Esther, with a saw blade, as a punitive measure, for burning her pot of beans.
It was gathered that Udodoikpom brought Esther from her village to Lagos few years ago, after the demise of the latter’s parents. Since then, she has been serving as a maid.

Neighbours said the alleged maltreatment of the teenager reached its peak Sunday, following her shout for help while being battered. Shortly after the incident, a neighbour, Godswill Bassey, reported the incident to the nearest police station.

Udodoikpom was arrested and will soon be charged to court. Police spokesperson, Dolapo Badmos, said: “Udodoikpom used saw to injure Esther for breaking a plastic bowl and burning cooked beans.”
