Supreme Court sacks Taraba acting governor, reinstates impeached deputy

Previous Deputy Governor of Taraba State, Alhaji Sanni Danladi, who was impugned by the state House of Assembly in October 2012 under faulty circumstances has been reestablished as the new legislative leader of the state by the Supreme court of Nigeria.

Alhaji Danladi served as the agent legislative head of the state under Dambaba Suntai who is currently sick.

Conveying its judgment today, the Supreme Court headed by Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, decided that the reprimand board set up by the House of Assembly to explore all the affirmations leveled against Danladi did not provide for him reasonable hearing as he was not given any chance to represent himself amid any of the boards incidents.

The board additionally refused to respect a court order secured by the representative senator testing its piece.

The Supreme court held that there appeared to be intrigue between both the Taraba State High Court and the indictment board. The court decided that be promptly reestablished as Governor.
