Former President Obasanjo Thrills At 78th Birthday Match, Scores 2 Goals (Video + More Photos)

Previous President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Wednesday, stunned a lot of people amid a fun filled football match held at MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta when his Presidential Library group slugged it out with a group of Ogun State Government drove by the Senator Ibikunle Amosun.

Toward the end of the oddity match which was to honor the 78th birthday of Obasanjo, OOPL group crushed the state government group with 2-1

Obasanjo who was the captain for his group showed some skill on the field of play and scored the two goals while the Special Assistant to the representative on Special Duties scored the main goal for the goverment group.

Obasanjo lost around four scoring possibilities.

The 1st  half a large portion of a 60-minute of play was goalless, as both group lost scoring shots.

Anyhow the OOPL group bounce back in the second half with players, for example, Prof. Akin Mabogunje, 88-year-old Dr. Femi Olopade, and one of associates of the previous president, Vitalis among others, gave the Amosun-drove group an intense time.

Mabogunje was a skilled hand at the goal post.

Helping the Amosun’s group on edge, were the secretary to the state government, Adeoluwa Taiwo, and the state head of staff, Prof. Ganiu Olatunde among other.

The Five-A-Side match finished with Obasanjo, Amosun and Mabogunje winning brilliant boots, most significant player and golden gloves respectively.
