Kogi State government comes to the aid of the Enugu conjoined twins

The case of Miracle and Testimony Ayeni, who are joined at the buttocks, became an issue of national discuss earlier in the year, following the refusal of the hospital where they’re born, to release them so that their parents could seek medical help elsewhere.

The twins whose parents hail from Kogi State, where eventually released and transferred to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH). A hospital in the U.S is now willing to operate on them and the Kogi State government is donating N3m for their upkeep while there.

The hospital also offered free accommodation for the period of the surgery, after an NGO, Linking Hands Foundation, reached out to them. Also, Arik Airline has equally obliged to transport the twins and their parents free. They would be flown abroad as soon as their traveling documents are processed.
