The Importance of Osun/Oshun/Ochun in Human Life

Those who want children and who may suffer from infertility usually call on Oshun for assistance, and any body who want his ex boy friend come back or to love also recieve oshun or appease oshun for helping them out ,oshun choose his self as the Orisa that we been helping a women for any condition, because out of all the Orisa that we have in the would we believe oshun is the female Orisa that have a powerful so much to do a lot of thing and all the other Orisa give it his honor because of some reason, (in odu/chapter,ose otura) this odu talk when the all Orisa is coming to the life,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,.According to the Ifa Literary Corpus in Ose Otura, Ọṣun was the only female Irunmole (primordial spirit) sent to create the world by Olodumare. The other spirits that were sent began the work and ignored Ọṣun.

Ọṣun gathered the women together and protested the blatant disrespect by forming Iyami Aje , a band of women endowed with special power. The male spirits failed miserably and when they inquired of Olodumare why they weren’t succeeding, Olodumare informed them that nothing can be done with out Ọṣun. Anything they attempt to do without women will fail. The male Irunmole then hurried to beg Ọṣun to join them.

She governs the sweet waters of the world and is a
powerful seductress. The Orisa Osun loves elegance and
dislikes disorder and chaos (unless of course it’s she
herself who has created it). Children of Osun tend to be
calculating, sensuous and focused on the joy of life (often
at the expense of logic). Children of Osun tend to be able
to find (and spend) money quite easily but their desire for
elegance and joy (at all costs) makes them susceptible to
over-indulgences of all kinds. Honey and sweet drinks are
among her favorite offerings.
