So we met on Twitter

The first time he sent a DM was on January 11th, 2020. At first, it was just a casual chat that I didn’t want to get past Twitter. We talked for a while until I agreed to meet up one day after work.

At the time, I wasn’t looking to date anyone as I had just left a relationship and was nursing the heartbreak but he stuck around and was my friend for a very long time.

I friend-zoned him but he was patient, caring, and always ready to help. We lived in the same city in Canada but very far from each other and he would drive daily to come to get me to work even though we weren’t dating at the time.

We eventually started dating and he proposed in November 2021. After being friends for about 2 months, we found out our mums were close friends from his surname. Funny how our mums didn’t know we were dating until we got engaged. Lol
