Their lives don’t matter because the work for the state?
Are there no peaceful ways to celebrate or mark an event??
Must IPOB hit the streets to set up born-fires??
Can’t traders gather at about 12 noon dressed in black attire in their respective markets and say prayers for two hours?
Can’t memorial badges be sold to commiserate the event like armed forces remembrance day?
Can’t all transport vehicles carry posters of leaves as a sign of solidarity?
What happened to sit at home method?
What happened to lectures?? Memorials are usually marked with lectures and not road blockade.
Why must you confront law enforcement agencies?? Which country can you do that and get away with? US or UK?
Are there no civilized and non violent ways of marking a memorial without the aggressive and combative approach against the law enforcement officers??
Freedom comes with responsibility.
Who elected IPOB to speak on behalf of all Igbos??
IPOB is an NGO and should operate like one.
We now have a democracy, and if they are popular let them form a political party and win all the seats in the south east as a starting point. The Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) of Muslim brotherhood, Scottish National Party for independence of Scots, Republican Left of Catalonia for Catalan’s independence in Spain are few examples of parties founded solely on a single mission.
Is it not time to stop this brigandry and save the south east from further decent economically??
Those sponsoring and deceiving young gullible men to death are part of the blame. Most of them are in diaspora, with their families in safety. They tell them all sorts of lies that Israel, Russia, UN etc are all behind them. That soon they will have independence and all these their suffering will come to an end.
Lastly, at which point and place was the issue of Igbo seccession discussed and agreed??
What is the economic plan that will show that life will be better without Nigeria?
What political structure for the proposed Biafra? Confederation? Right to further self determination? So that if Nnewi is not happy with the new Biafra, might secede and become an independent nation or go back to Nigeria.
Who will head the interim govt and what structure?
Secession and nationhood is not a tea party. Not a weed smoking affair either.
If all igbos should come back home as suggested by IPOB, we might lack leg space at home.
What we need is good governance not secession.
IPOB must respect the rights of the majority who don’t share their views
