Question of the day- how do you get a people to be self-reliant when their epistemic framework….

NGR political elites want the masses to substitute imports with locally made goods. They want the masses to engage in self-reliance. In short, they want the masses to patronize and buy NGR. However, the same political elites have chosen to suspend national affairs just because some foreign authority is waiting to sight the moon. The same political elites are comfortable adopting a foreign language as the national lingua Franca.

The same political elites are comfortable adopting foreign cultures and religions. The same political elites are comfortable adopting foreign epistemology and philosophy.
The question is: how do you get a people to be self-reliant when their epistemic framework, culture, role models, godheads, prophets, religion(s) and lingua Franca are all from foreign lands.
Anyway, NGR political elites are obtuse and bi-polar!
