AU Peace-keeping Troops protest over non-payment of allowances

Some officers who battled in the AU Peace-keeping operation in Guinea Bissau in 2015 have protested the non-payment of their allowance in the last 6 months.

As indicated by ThisDay, the troopers numbering around 200, met with press men in Yola, Adamawa state and registered their dismay at the recent development.

A percentage of the influenced soldiers of 158 Task Force Battalion arranged in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno state told reporters in Yola , Adamawa state, that the disappointment by military authority to pay the allowances is as of now generating pressure in the affected battalion.‎

They spoke to the military leaders to as an issue of urgency pay the allowances owed them.‎‎
