The House of Representatives chambers a couple of minutes ago was in turmoil as representatives, split along partisan loyalties, are debating the new deregulation of the oil sector and the expulsion of oil subsidy that has prompted the expansion of the pump price of petrol from N86.50 to N145 per liter.
PDP administrators are said to be furious with their APC partners for organizing Occupy Nigeria protest in 2012 when the Goodluck Jonathan led government endeavored to remove the oil subsidy.
The officials are expecting the Minister of state for Petroleum assets, Ibe Kachikwu, who they have summoned to show up before them to clarify the purpose for the late removal of oil subsidy.
