With production limited by 991 units, which represents the current-generation 911’s internal code, Motoring Research reports that the Porsche 911 R is selling for close to $1.3-million on the used market, which can be seven times the initial asking price. Specialist supercar dealers are finding demand to be so high that deals are now being done behind closed doors and aren’t being advertised. The headlines originates from supercar finance experts Magnitude Finance: “We believe this is a record level of appreciation for a new car based on a percentage of its original value,” said Magnitude’s Tim Marlow.
The organization confirmed that it spoke to “several Porsche specialist dealers and they confirmed the cars are commanding near to £1 million however they can’t list them at that amount.”
