Nigerian Military nabs Aljazeera Journalists

The Nigerian military on Wednesday captured two columnists working for news TV, Aljazeera, in Maiduguri, Borno State. The military charged the columnists, Ahmed Idris and Mustafa Andy, of dillydallying in territories were battle operations were all the while going on.

The Defense Headquarters, in an announcement, said the columnists were moving around “limited territories” in Yobe and Borno States without assurance, accreditation or leeway.  The military said the columnists were monitored by discernment agents and were at long last restrained to their lodging rooms in Maiduguri taking after expanded suspicion that their exercises were centered around meddling with continuous military operations in those regions.
