After the recent attacks by Boko Haram members in the state, the Gombe state government has ordered the closure of most public and private schools in the state. Parents who took their children to school today were asked to bring them back following a directive by the state govt that has been delivered to any or all school heads in a circular yesterday evening.
The Permanent Secretary, Gombe state Government House, Sani Jauro confirmed the closure to NAN but said it had been merely a “normal mid-term break for students “.
