Esu in Yoruba IFA

Óoro Èṣù

Today, December 24th is the day chosen by us, Oníṣẹ̀ṣè (practitioners of traditional Yorùbá culture) to remind the world that the Òrìṣà Èṣù (Orisha Exu) is not the devil present in Christian culture and Islamic culture.

For us, Èṣù is the messenger of the Òrìṣà and also the great assistant of Olódùmarè (Supreme Being) concerning the balance of the universe and the application of justice.

Èṣù teaches us values such as joy, pleasure, patience, organization, and discipline.

The Christian devil is a destroyer, and the Òrìṣà Èṣù is a builder, they are different beings, from different cultures and therefore, they do not resemble each other at all.

Today for another year celebration of Èṣù is not Satan and I will go out on the street to join my family in Iṣẹ̀ṣè for a walk through the city to campaign for Èṣù Ọ̀dàrà is not AlShaitan or Satan.

We are one

We are all for Èṣù

Èṣù is for us!
