The Oyo State House of Assembly has approved a motion to grant a unique holiday to adherents of Isese in the state.
Collectively referred to as Isese, the lawmakers approved the motion read by the Majority Leader, Hon. Sanjo Onaolapo.
Onaolapo stressed the significance of dedicating each day to adherents of traditionalists to celebrate because it is for Christians and Muslims in the country.
The lawmaker also noted that some states in the Southwest region had already done so, stressing the necessity to respect the beliefs of traditional religious worshippers.
Meanwhile, Governor Seyi Makinde had promised to sign the bill into law once passed by their state House of Assembly.
In July, the Ogun State House of Assembly approved a unique holiday for Isese in their state years after their predecessors in the chamber had declined requests to complete so.
The vacation was fixed for August 20 annually, for adherents of Isese to celebrate.
