UNILAG female medical student hostel is on Fire !

The hall of residence of female medical students in University of Lagos is on fire. It’s left lots of the female students residing in the hostel in panic, many of them are seen running helter-skelter. Many female students in adjoining the burning hostel were seen shouting telling others to go and carry their belongings.

Plenty of reasons have now been given for the explanation for the fire but as during the time of reporting, the source is yet to be known. The topmost floor of of the building is probably the most affected as fire was blazing.

Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Professor Awonusi Olusegun who was recently accused of molesting a student at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) has finally shared his own version of the story. Aside from being a professor of English Studies in the school, Olusegun was a former vice-chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun state.

In an interview with New Telegraph, Olusegun disclosed that he did not partake in a shameful act but revealed that his mobile was stolen. He described the incident as a cheap blackmail.

He said: “It is blackmail. The said pictures were taken about four years ago but sometimes ago, I received a message from a particular lady, saying she was in possession of my unclad photos and that I should pay her N400,000. The lady said if I did not pay the money, she would go public with the photos. I think this is what she had promised.”
