ESU is one of the Yoruba Orisa that was a great confidant of Orunmila.
He lived in places such as Ketu, Ota, Oyo, and many other Yoruba towns, in fact the present day Ojuelegba in Surulere, Lagos was his abode. (Oju Elegbara).
He has a wife called Lapetejeku. He has descendants. One of the past Oba of Lagos is Esugbayi.
After his earth sojourn, Esu wo ile (ground) si Ijelu, in present day Ekiti state.
Whoever made the error has done the worst for the Yoruba race.
You cannot have authentic nomenclature for what you don’t have and what is not of your origin.
The English language do not have a name for ESU, AJE Ogungunnuso, OYA, OGUN, SANGO, OBATALA and others; just as the Yoruba language don’t have names for Satan or Bread; we only coined them as Asetani/Satani or Buredi.
Theirs is theirs, Ours is ours.
