“When I was in prison, I had joy’ -OBJ

While talking at the 50th commemoration of the Bible Society of Nigeria held at the Muson Center, Onikan, La‎gos, previous President Obasanjo said that he had joy and kept up a bubbly ‎ mien while he served his jail term amid the Abacha time.  Obasanjo was sentenced to life imprisonment in 1995 after he was indicted for his inclusion in the plot to oust the late Head of State, Gen. Abacha. He was discharged after Abacha’s sudden passing in 1998 and became president in 1999
