Just after emerging as senate president in questionable circumstances, Senator Bukola Saraki’s first port of call was the home of  Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on a “cordiality visit”.

Nigeria’s previous VP, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

A senate president paying a quick graciousness visit to a chieftain of his gathering and not the party’s formally assigned pioneers beyond any doubt raised a few eyebrows.

We watched what a couple individuals think, and there are hints in a few quarters that Saraki’s rebellion of the APC authority’s direction not to challenge for the position of senate president had the sponsorship of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

It will be reviewed that Atiku and Saraki were the real pioneers of the ‘New PDP’, a group of the People’s Democratic Party that moved into the APC in 2014 after endeavors to determine the emergency in the PDP fizzled at the time.
