When it came time to make a promotional video for the Bugatti Chiron, the French automaker had one problem.
Bugatti didn’t actually have a Chiron to use for its video, so instead, it turned to what it did have: a Veyron. The minds at the SLGH production studio were able to create a fake CG version of the Chironby capturing video of the Veyron wearing tracking markers all over its body. Interestingly, this is the same Veyron that spy photographers caught testing and assumed was being used as a mule for the upcoming Chiron. In a way it was, but not how we originally assumed.
The Bugatti Chiron will be showcased this week at the 2016 Monterey Car Week, where AutoGuide.com will be reporting live.
