Cristiano Ronaldo is settling into life well with his new team-mates in Juventus. Despite his superstar status, the Portugal icon still had to do a new-boy initiation. Ronaldo got up in front of all his new team-mates on Friday night to sing a song, as part of a welcome procedure that every new signing has to go through.
Ronaldo was spared any special treatment and was hauled up in front of the squad with fellow new signings Joao Cancelo, Mattia Perin and Emre Can.
A chair was set aside for the newcomers in a private function suite full of the Juventus squad and coaching staff. The 33-year-old kept his pick native to his motherland and opted for a classic hit by iconic Portuguese rock band Xutos e Pontapés. Juventus players laughed and cheered along as Ronaldo sang out ‘A minha Casinha,’ while using his phone to help him recall the lyrics.
The action was captured by playmaker Miralem Pjanic, who shared the footage of the singing stars on his personal Instagram account.
Other newcomers soon followed Ronaldo with their own efforts, with Bonucci looking very much at home in front of the squad he used to play with for so many years previously.
The initiations have been completed on the eve of Juventus getting their Serie A season under way.
Juventus will begin their title defence on Saturday afternoon, when they travel to Chievo in Verona.
