Woman Student Dies in Marysville School Shooting: Police

A female student was shot dead by the Washington State shooter, Marysville Police Commander Robb Lamoureux announced.

The scene is secure, two people are deceased, one male, one female. About 30 students and staff are witnesses and are being questioned,” Lamoureux said in a media briefing Friday.

The authorities aren’t confirming the sort of weapon the shooter used, but have confirmed he died from the self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Two young students from the Marysville-Pilchuck High School are out from the operating room, while another victim, a new woman, continues to be undergoing surgery, Chief Medical Officer Joanne Roberts of the Providence Regional Hospital told reporters Friday.
