“When Hearts Shake with the Earth: A Prayer of Hope and Solidarity for Venezuela”

When the earth quakes, not only do the mountains and roads shake, but also the hearts of those who watch their loved ones depart or behold how, in an instant, the reality they knew changes.
From Egbe Aworeni Oduyemi, Uruguay, we lift our prayers, orikis for the Venezuelan people, accompanied by respect and solidarity to all the families who are going through moments of pain, loss, and uncertainty today.
Ifa’s teaching reminds us that no human being walks alone in the world. We are part of a great community united by destiny, compassion and mutual responsibility. When a part of the human family suffers, the echo of that suffering reaches every sensitive heart.
May Olódùmarè grant strength to those who mourn, serenity to those facing adversity, and hope to those who seek to rebuild what has been affected. May the benevolent ancestors light the path of those who remain and receive with peace those who have completed their day in Ayé.

In times like these, we understand that true wealth is not found in what we possess, but in the ability to extend a helping hand when they need it most. Solidarity, sincere support, and togetherness are also forms of prayer.
From the geographical distance, but from the proximity of the spirit, we send our brotherly hug to the people of Venezuela. May the strength of community, faith, and hope be greater than any difficulty.
Because it is in times of testing that a people’s true character is revealed and where collective love demonstrates its power to heal, rebuild, and move forward.
