Nobody Will Hijack PDP Under My Watch – Secondus

The acting national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Prince Uche Secondus has said no any influential member would be allowed to hijack the party under his watch.

Speaking Tuesday at Legacy House, Abuja, when a group known as PDP Rebirth Forum paid him a courtesy call, Secondus stressed that the PDP belonged to all especially “the common man.”

The PDP chief said with the National Executive Committee (NEC) approving the zoning of the 2019 presidential ticket to the North, the youths would play a significant role.

He said if all members of the party work together, the PDP would bounce back in 2019, adding that the youths and women must be actively involved in running of the party and elective positions without hindrance.

“The PDP will not belong to any influential person; it belongs to all members especially the people at the grass-roots. It is the democratic asset of Nigeria. It belongs to the common man. No influential person will stop the youths from realising their political ambitions of becoming governors or members of the National Assembly,” he said.
