Muhammad Ali’s son dumps his family after inheriting part of his father’s $80m fortune

According to Radar Online, just over a month after Muhammad Ali’s death, his son, Muhammad Ali Jr., is believed to have moved out of his family home in Chicago’s South Side to a more affluent part of the city.

Children of the boxing hero, 7 daughters, his natural son, Muhammad Ali Jr., and his adopted son, recently met in California to discus how to divide his estate, with all of them getting an equal share.

For the past decade, he and his family — wife Shaakira and their children, Ameera, 8, and Shakera, 7 — have been relying on food stamps and handouts to get by. While Ali Jr. is moving from Chicago’s blighted West Englewood area to a middle-class neighborhood near Midway Airport, “his wife and children won’t miss out,” a source told Radar.

“He gave his wife $75 to buy herself something nice, and bought the kids new shoes. He also wants to set up a trust fund for his kids,” added the source. Ali Jr. has struggled with marijuana addiction and other issues, but family members now want him to get clean and get a job.
